| Over 60 people attended the SSA General Meeting
Breakfast at WBSSSP. The event began with a walk through the park
led by Ken Tracey, followed by a campfire breakfast provided by Joe
Spooner and crew. Special guest speaker was Carol Imbriani, Park
Programs Development Specialist. Rounding out the morning was the
first meeting of the newly formed Salt Spring Paddlers kayak club led by
Doug Cassidy. |

| It was all about the water at Werner-Boyce Salt
Springs State Park. Over 120 people turned out to take a look at the
Salt Springs and exhibits form Pasco Schools, SWFWMD, DEP and others. |

| On Saturday, March 15, 2008, representatives
from Werner-Boyce Salt Springs Sate Park attended the District 4 Volunteer
Appreciation Day. Tours through the park, volunteer organization
displays, music and lunch were enjoyed by All. |

February 16, 2008 |
| Over 20 canoe and kayaks launched from Old
Post Road in the Park to enjoy a quiet morning on the water. The
paddle included a visit to the salt springs where clear water allowed a
glimpse of the spring bottom 300+ feet below.
At the same time, over 60 hikers turned out for a 3 to 4
mile walk through the salt marsh at the ST. Rd. 52 Park
entrance. |
